  • Charleston Workshop for Time to Dance Children!

    Wed 16 Nov 2022 L.Dale

Our dancers had a ball on Monday! Emily (or Zelda!) from The Gatsby Girls dance troupe came to tell them all about the dance of the 1920's.

She showed them some typical costumes and explained how daring these clothes were at that time. The children then donned their own feather headdresses and hats and had a go at some of the most popular moves, including: the basic Charleston, the Charleston flick, the black bottom, the mess around, the scarecrow and the bee's knees.

They played some games using their dance moves and performed a routine. No doubt we'll see some of these moves in their own choreography soon!

  • Dogs Trust visit for KS1

    Wed 16 Nov 2022

Year 1 and Year 2 have had a special visit from Steph at Dogs Trust who helped us learn about how to look after dogs and how and when to approach a dog we don’t know.

We had a fantastic time, the workshops were so interactive and joyful! We learned a lot about how dogs might be feeling if we run up to them. We must ask our grown ups and the owners before we stroke them.

    Thank you, Dogs Trust Shoreham!
