  • Year 5 Netball Competition

    Wed 28 Feb 2024

Years 4 and 5 took part in the Year 5 Netball competition at West Park on a very cold and wet afternoon.  They lost one game in the group stage and reached the semi-final where they met Goring.  After 2 periods of extra time it was even! The match went to a penalty shoot out and sadly they went out on this.

The team gave a fantastic performance.  Congratulations to all.

  • First Aid Day

    Mon 05 Feb 2024

On Monday 29th January, we held our annual First Aid Day, kindly funded by Friends of Bramber.  During the day, all classes get to learn about basic first aid and get to practice some of these procedures.  This year, the focus was on burns, choking and, for our older pupils - CPR.  All classes are also reminded how to contact the Emergency Services.  We believe that this is such an important event as it gives the children potentially live saving skills; we know that the skills learnt have helped some of our pupils come to the aid of friends and siblings.

  • Dance Live 2024!

    Mon 05 Feb 2024

On Friday 2nd February, our Key Stage 2 dancers took part in Dance Live! at Portsmouth Guildhall.  The children had a wonderful day rehearsing, taking part in events and getting to know teams from other schools across West Sussex, Hampshire and Isle of Wight.  In the evening, the children performed in the dance competition in front of a full house.  Even though Bramber were the last to perform, they stayed focused and performed brilliantly.  Not only were our dancers being judged but we also had a Tech Team in control of lighting and cameras and, they too, did a fantastic job - showing our dancers in the best light!  There were many awards up for grabs and we are pleased to say that we won the Technical award for our lighting, backdrop and camera work.  We were also presented with a certificate for our soundtrack, our highest scoring part of our overall score. The children represented Bramber with pride and were a credit to us all.  A special mention to the school adults who were invovled in the event, especially Miss Poole for her choreography and constant hard work to ensure the children shone on the evening and to Mrs Poole for giving up many hours of her own time to support our club and create the fabulous costumes.  There are already plans developing for next year and we cannot wait!
