Week 2

This week children have been learning about the Great Fire of London and the order of events. They looked at significant events in history and ordered them according to their dates. 

This week children brought in a belonging that was precious to them and if they wanted to they shared what it was and why it is precious with the class. Children were very thoughtful when listening to each other and shared some lovely memories and stories. 

In English we have been thinking about what it must have been like to escape the fire, we worked in groups to create freeze frames of us and our friends escaping. We thought about and shared how we would feel in this moment. 

Children have been learning different sentence types. They sorted sentences about The Great Fire of London into different groups; statement, command, question, exclamation.
