  • Cross Country Success for KS1!

    Tue 28 Feb 2023

On Tuesday, 12 children from Year 1 and Year 2 took part in a cross country event. Thanks to Mrs Duncan and the Year 5 team, the children were well prepared, ready to run and very excited!

We placed 4th in the girls race and 1st and 3rd in the boys race. This meant the Bramber boys team came 3rd overall. A fantastic achievement for our first ever competition of the sort. Well done to all the children who took part and a special mention to A, N and H who ran brilliantly and secured medals.

  • Whole School Book Buddies

    Mon 27 Feb 2023

Special memories made and wonderful books read between classes today. We celebrated World Book Day with 'Book Buddies' - a way for our youngest and oldest children to share books together. It was fantastic to see the classes mixing and children confidently sharing and reading books. Well done to our eldest children for being such excellent role models; to our youngest children for reading so brilliantly and to all the children today who proved that Bramber really do have a HUGE love for reading.

  • Ducklings and Chaffinch are inspired by Axel Scheffler and Julia Donaldson!

    Mon 27 Feb 2023

Children in Chaffinch and Duckling classes have joined a Scholastic World Book Day event with Axel Sheffler all about illustrating and writing fairy tales. We had a fantastic time listening to Axel Sheffler share his books. Julia Donaldson also joined later and told us all about writing Fairy tales and shared her newest book The Baddies.

  • Year 5 & 6 Netball Club

Thu 02 Feb 2023 Miss Wood

The year five and six netballers enjoyed another couple of games on Thursday after school. Bramber welcomed two mixed year group teams from St Mary's to play against them.

The first match was between Bramber blue and St Mary's one. It was a hard fought game but ultimately Bramber dominated winning 8-0. The second match was played between Bramber green and St Mary's two and was very closely contested with both teams playing well and scoring points. The final score was 2-1 to St Mary's.

After each team came away with a win the children from both teams joined together for a drink and a biscuit led by team captains Elsie and Josh. We can't wait for the next game!
