Where is the best place for worms to live?

In science we have been investigating where the best place is for worms to live which links to out habitat and micro habitat learning. We also learned in spelling this week that after w the or grapheme makes an er sound!

We wrote predictions about where we thought we would find the most worms then we went outside and started looking!

It was a muddy lesson but worth it for all the fun we had!

We used a data collection sheet to record what we found in a table. We discussed what we found as a class and found out that worms can often be found in mud or underground. They like to be hidden away from predators such as birds and hedgehogs! We knew that worms are near the bottom of the food chain too.
