The Countryside Code

We have been learning about respecting the countryside and other outside spaces.

With our trip to Pulborough Brooks looming, we thought it would be best to think about ways to not only keep safe ourselves but make sure the environment is safe for other people too.

We learned that there was a set of rules called The Countryside Code and we started our learning by watching a funny video! https://www.aardman.com/work/country-side-code/

Miss O'Hara challenged us to use words that end in the suffix -ful, like careful, respectful and helpful. This was our 'Chaffinch Challenge'!

You can see our wonderful learning below. We have tried so hard with our spellings and handwriting. Can you see how neat our writing is?

Miss O'Hara was so happy to see that during independent play, one person in our class made their own poster about the countryside code! It is a delightful and colourful poster! No wonder it is in a special place on our English wall. We love it at Bramber when children are inspired to write independently.

Our wonderful published posters!
