Our First Day
Welcome to our class blog! We will update the blog weekly with all the things we have learned and explored in the week. This is a post for our first day.
Our first day!
Today, 11th September, we had our first day as Ducklings! We had lots of fun. The teachers were delighted with what we achieved today.
After saying goodbye to our grown ups, we started by finding our cloakroom pegs and putting our things away. We then went to the classroom and had to find our name pebbles which were hidden around the room. Then it was playful learning time! We had: a pirate ship buried in the sand, play-do faces to make, painting, cars, as well as our home corner, writing station, book corner and brand new fish! Lots of exploring to do.
After our first carpet time together, we were able to explore the outside area and could choose the climbing frame, water play, number matching, rice and pasta play and of course our woodland walk.
Mrs Hayes planted some herbs and some of us helped her. They smelled delicious!
Today we learned to tidy up, wash our hands, line up and sit on the carpet. We had a snack, story, sang some songs and it was time to go home.
What a busy time it was!
The teachers can't wait to see you all again for more play and fun. Well done, Ducklings! A great start.
