  • Netball Year 5&6

    Tue 19 Oct 2021

Our lovely Year 5&6 children took part in their first Netball matchplay tournament at Davisons. They played brilliantly against the five other schools from the area and showed great team spirit.

Because this was a versatility tournament, for each game they had to have a different position. All of the children adapted to the different positions quickly and they played together as a strong team.

    Well done netballers!

  • Cross Country

    Sat 16 Oct 2021

On Saturday morning, our wonderful Year 3, 4, 5 and 6 children got up bright and early to compete in the Cross Country competition. For some of them, it was the first time they have ever competed.

We are immensely proud of our runners and their commitment and resilience. They showed every Bramber value while running.

Thank you to the adults who supported us and helped at the event.

  • Netball Shootout!

    Thu 14 Oct 2021

Last week on Thursday 7th of October, on a crisp autumnal afternoon, 7 brave Bramber pupils took on the challenge of  a netball shoot out competition.

This sporting challenge was held at Goring Primary School and consisted of 2 rounds of a shoot out against other local primary schools.

The Bramber team showed great resilience as the first few shots missed the target.  However, the positivity and encouragement from all the children was outstanding.  As the children got into their groove the shots started swishing through the net to cheers and shouts of joy.

It was a great performance from all the children involved and what was even more heart warming was the manners shown by all the children as they thanked the organisers for their time and effort.

A great event enjoyed by all.

    Mrs Duncan and the competitors.

  • KS2 Football @ Littlehampton

    Wed 06 Oct 2021

Today’s football event was fantastic. Every single child was amazing! Mrs Allwright was so proud to be there with them to watch them shine. Their behaviour was superb, the way they interacted with the sports leaders running each activity, and their attitude towards each other and other schools.

When we arrived we were greeted by Ali Groves from West Sussex Schools who was delighted we had made the effort.

The children had a variety of activities including- dribbling and controlling  a football through cones, passing to one other team member, receiving and kicking a ball back to a sports leader, target practice (shooting into a big goal with a net across with target holes for scoring), shooting into a net which measured the power of the kick. Every time all of our children encouraged each other with praise and encouragement, it really was a joy to see.

All of the children have been given certificates for attending and J and T both received medals for sportsmanship and most improvement through the morning activities.

Mrs Allwright and Mrs Ramprasad felt very proud!

  • Year 2 visit Pulborough Brooks

    Tue 05 Oct 2021

Year 2 have had a fantastic learning experience at Pulborough Brooks. We went to Pulborough Books as part of our topic and learned about habitats, plants and minibeasts.

This was also the class's first ever school trip! We are delighted with their behaviour and exemplary attitude.

You can read all about it on the Chaffinch class blog!
