Fantastic First Week
The children have started school brilliantly! We have been very busy in our classroom, getting to know new routines and learning lots already.
We have been working on place value in maths, recognising and making numbers up to 20 to begin with. The children have explored different resources including numicon, Rekenrek and dienes.
In English and RHE, we are reading The Dot and thinking about our Bramber Values.
We have begun our science learning about plants by investigating which bulbs and seeds we have in our environment. We made predictions about the plants that grow from the bulbs we found based on the trees and leaves we see.
We will be planting hyacinth bulbs and observing growth over time.
