In year 2 it is important we develop confident readers who are able to talk about books they are reading, have read, or have read to them. We focus on comprehension skills in Year 2, these are known as Vipers

Throughout the year we teach the children these different skills and how to apply them. I have attached a booklet with questions under each skill to help support reading at home. Any time your child reads to you or you read to them, asking them one questions from one of the five skills can really help with their reading comprehension.
