Summer

Our topic in the summer term is 'London's Burning!'

We start by learning about The Great Fire of London. We learn the chronology of events; significant people and we write about it too! We will write diaries as if we were there, and a newspaper report to inform others. 

Next, we stay in London but through the book 'Katie in London' we learn about geographical features of London and the UK. We also learn about Queen Elizabeth II and Queen Victoria - two significant people in history - comparing their lives and how they have impacted our country.

We have a visit from Fire Fighters who help us keep our homes safe. We will also bake bread, sew purses and write poems!
