During the week beginning 14th September, Year 6 will be learning about and focusing on:

• the Blackout during World War II in History
• multiples of 1,000 in Maths
• adjectives, verbs and adverbs to help us plan a setting description
• how light travels in Science
• serving in badminton during PE

During the week beginning 7th September, Year 6 were learning about and focusing on:

• our Stunning Start to our World War II topic: We'll Meet Again. We had to act in role as evacuee children being evacuated!
• reading, saying and writing numbers up to 8-digits long in Maths
• predicting what might happen with our new class novel: Rose Blanche
• the outbreak of World War II in History
• strategies to help us regulate our feelings in RHE
• learning how to pass a rugby ball effectively in PE
