We have had a busy first full week in Year 4! In English, we explored the beautiful picture book Mummy Cat by Marcus Ewert and used it to launch our poetry unit. We have been revisiting nouns, adjectives, expanded noun phrases and accurate sentence punctuation, as well as beginning our regular handwriting practice.

A highlight in Art was creating visual note pages inspired by illustrators. The children had lots of freedom in their sketchbooks and produced some wonderfully individual work. We also enjoyed our first swimming session and the children represented the school brilliantly.

Finally, Mr Chips started his new job! Each day he looks out for a table that has impressed us for different reasons and spends the day with them.
