WB 13.10.25

English

Children have been working hard over the last two weeks to write their Leaf Man stories and publishing them. They have used their fantastic imagination use of noun phrases and verbs to create an interesting Leaf man adventure.

Maths

In maths children have been very busy, we have been learning how to add to the next ten and subtract from a ten. They have been using what they know about number to bridge ten and find close bonds. They have partitioned a number in a two-addend number sentence to create a number bond first before adding the remainder

Science.

Children have been continuing their topic of habitats. They went on a mini beats hunt to explore our grounds and see what we could find! They have also learned about the importance of bees and the fantastic work they do.

Geography

As part of our ‘Where we live’ topic children have been using Google Earth to explore Worthing. They explored Worthing and found many of our landmarks. Children have also been learning how to write their own address ready for children to receive a note in the post!

Art

Children have been continuing to explore different medias in art and drawing techniques. We have had a go at continuous line drawing, ‘feely’ drawing’ and floor drawings where we have been able to discuss and observe the different effects and outcomes.
