Autumn

Today, in English, we generated descriptions about Grendel and Beowulf.

Balancing in gymnastics: counter balance and counter tension.

This week we have been:

In English, we have published our poems.

In maths, we calculated with money.

In art, we finsiehd our projects.

 

Next week we will:

In English, we will start our Viking unit.

In maths, we will explore place value past 1000. 

In science, we will explore everyday uses of materials.

We also have some end of unit assessments to complete.

We finished our art projects!

Today we had a special assembly from Turning Tides, telling us all about how our donatiosn will help others.

This week we have been:

In English, we have drafted our poems.

In maths, we rounded decimal numbers to tenths and hundredths.

In art, we began our projects.

On Wednesday 8th October, we went on our Rivers' Trip!

 

Next week we will:

In English, we will edit our poems.

In maths, we will start our unit on money. 

In science, we will reflect on our investigation.

In geography, we will complete our end of unit assessment.

In art today, we have begun to make our name sculptures using the typography we have been developing.

This week we have been:

In English, we have been learning about cohesion, synonyms and antonyms – we planned our writing.

In maths, we have explored how measures link to tenths and hundredths.

In science, we investigated our insulating heat experiment and attempted to plot a line graph.

In art, we made prototypes of our typography.

Next week we will:

In maths, we are finishing our unit on decimals with rounding hundredths and thousandths. 

In science, we will reflect on our investigation.

On Wednesday 8th October, we are going on our Rivers' Trip!

In geography, we researched a river in detail. 

In art, we embellished pages from a book for our class display.

In geography, we will begin to explore some of the causes and impacts of river pollution.

Friday music lessons – Glockenspiels.

Today our resilient class walked to Worthing Assembly Hall to see a live orchestra. They were enamoured all the way through and represented Bramber very well!

In science today, we explored electrical conductors and insulators.

Today we created our own typefaces and it was so much fun!

On our first day, our WOW start was BIG ART with our class river. This will soon have all our names on and be displayed in our classroom. 

Today we explored the water cycle in our geographical science lesson. We made a water cycle in a bag and have been excited to see how the sun has caused the water to condense on the inside of the bag.
