A Busy Week for Robin class!

We have had a fantastic week in our classroom, filled with lots of exciting learning, fun activities and opportunities to work together.

The children have been enthusiastic and curious learners, showing great Bramber Values throughout the week. We have enjoyed sharing ideas, helping one another and celebrating each other’s successes.

In English, we have been creating a whole-class poem about Autumn, which we will be performing in the Poetry week assembly.

In maths we have been practising lots of number skills, especially one more / one less, and number bonds to 10.

In Science we began our new science topic of Everyday Materials – take a look at the album of photos.

In phonics we have revisited the ay, ee, ow and oo sounds.

In RHE we have been thinking about what sadness feels like, and things we can do to regulate ourselves when we are feeling sad.

In Art we are continuing our investigation of spirals, this time using chalks and black paper.

 we have been busy exploring our current topics through practical activities, discussions and creative tasks. The children have particularly enjoyed getting hands-on and discovering new things for themselves. There have been lots of wonderful questions, thoughtful ideas and plenty of smiles along the way!

We have also been working hard on our reading skills, both 1:1 reading and whole-class book sharing. It has been lovely to see the children becoming more confident and independent in their reading.

A big well done to everyone for another brilliant week. We are so proud of the effort, enthusiasm and kindness shown by the children. We can't wait for next week!
