🚒 Fire Engine Visit! 🚒

To bring our “London’s Burning” topic to a fantastic close, the children were excited to welcome a real fire engine to school!

During the visit, the firefighters taught us all about the important role they play in keeping our community safe. The children learned about the different pieces of equipment carried on the fire engine and discovered how firefighters use them in emergencies.

One of the highlights of the day was having the opportunity to use the fire hose! The children loved taking turns and experiencing just how powerful the water can be.

The firefighters also shared some valuable information about fire safety at home. The children learned about potential dangers to be aware of, how to help prevent fires, and what to do if a fire ever occurs. There were lots of thoughtful questions, and the children impressed the firefighters with their enthusiasm and knowledge.

We would like to thank the fire service for giving us such an engaging and informative experience. It was the perfect way to end our learning about the Great Fire of London and helped bring our topic to life in a memorable way! 🔥🚒😊
