Incredible Vesuvius Writing!

Listen here, for the wonderful writing from our Seagulls about the eruption of Vesuvius.
This short half-term our Seagulls have been learning about the eruption of Vesuvius in AD 79. We read the fantastic text 'Escape from Pompeii' and they wrote an account/description of the eruption, from the calm morning - the same as it always was - to the destruction of their beloved city. I think you will agree, that the language used here is phenomenal. The children not only included fronted adverbials, repetition, alliteration, short sentences for effect and much more, they also crafted their writing carefully for maximum impact. Please enjoy!
