‘Teach Me’ assembly
This week it was Robins Class’s turn to lead the Teach Me assembly! It was the first one we have done, so we were pretty excited. We showed the whole school some of the learning we have been doing, including Spiral art, RHE and maths. We taught the children some tips about teen numbers, in case they forget! We also talked about seasonal changes in autumn and presented our tree paintings which show the beautiful colours. The children showed all the Bramber values, especially bravery and enjoying learning.
In English, we read the book “Stanley’s Stick” about a boy with a very big imagination. He imagines a plain stick to be all kinds of exciting things! Then we had a stick hunt outside, and we also imagined they were different things.
In maths we have been learning how to cross the tens boundary when counting.
In Science we investigated materials that float and sink.
In phonics we have revisited the air and ir sounds and words that use them.
In RHE we have been thinking about people in the community who help us.
In Art we reviewed our Spirals work this term, then made some pictures we could take home.
In RE we have been discussing what it means to celebrate.
Good job, Robins!
