w.c. 5th October

This week in English, we began reading The Story of Tutankhamun and gathering information about Howard Carter and Lord Carnarvon in preparation for writing our own news reports. This linked beautifully with our History learning, where we explored the fascinating discovery of Tutankhamun's tomb in more detail.

In Maths, we continued developing our understanding of place value, working with multiples of 100 up to 2,000 and using different strategies for addition.

In Science, we investigated electrical conductors and insulators by testing different materials in a circuit. In Art, the children continued their poetry illustrations, exploring different colour palettes, while in PE we enjoyed practising our netball shooting skills!
