Reception's First School Trip

On Tuesday 5th May, Duckling Class travelled to Arundel Wetlands for their first school trip!

Wow, what a fantastic day our Ducklings had at the Wetlands! They were very excited for the coach and behaved beautifully on the journey. When we got there, we saw toad tadpoles in the pond. After we settled into the classroom and met our wetlands teacher, Tracy, we went on boats! All the children were brave and resilient, they had lots of fun!
We then took part in a workshop all about our senses: we listened to birdsong then did a colour walk with mini palettes.
We had lunch after that! The children were very happy about that!
In the afternoon we went pond dipping! We found freshwater shrimps, water boatman, damsel nymphs, pond skaters and pond snails! I wonder which pond creatures the children remember?
Duckling Class were a credit to our school and made the adults feel very proud.
