Italian Day!
Lots of Italian Fun for the second-to-last day of school!
It was lots of fun to convert our classroom into an Italian restaurant, with bunting, table-covers, candles and Italian music. We also:
- 🇮🇹 Learned some simple Italian greetings and vocabulary, including counting to ten.
- 🎼 Listened to beautiful classical music by the famous Italian composer Antonio Vivaldi.
- 🍕 Made our own delicious pitta pizzas with three tasty toppings.
- 🎯 Played bocce ball, a traditional Italian game of skill and accuracy.
- 🏛️ Created and played an ancient Roman game called Five Lines with a partner.
- 🚣 Took a virtual gondola ride through the famous canals of Venice.
- 🎧 Listened to modern Italian music and explored how Italian culture has changed over time.
- 💧 Worked together as a team to design and build an aqueduct, helping transport water to the Bramber Bathhouse, just like the ancient Romans.
- 📖 Completed an Italian listening challenge by matching Italian words to their English meanings.
- 🎨 Created and coloured our own Italian Day booklet to take home and share with their families.
