Eco Schools Green Flag Award

We are delighted to announce that we have been granted the Eco Schools Green Flag Award for 2024.

Below is an extract from the Eco School Award final report about our school:

The greatest success of your Eco-Schools’ journey was taking part in the Big Plastic Count and we agree that this is something to be very proud of. Your main challenge is one that anyone who works in an education setting is familiar with, lack of time! However, rather than giving up, you consistently strive to make a positive impact and that’s truly inspiring. You managed to enact a school ban on non-biodegradable glitter too! You chose to turn your Eco-Code into a powerful anthem that kept us pumped here at Eco-Schools! A fantastic creation by your Eco-Committee! Our team has been astounded by your amazing application. Our only concern is that we might not have been able to express in words just how impressed and grateful we are to have educators who go so far above and beyond to engage young people in environmental action. Congratulations on your Eco-Schools Green Flag. 

Well done and a huge 'thank you' to Miss Challenger and the Eco Committee for all their hard work in achieving this award and constantly thinking about how we can improve our green credentials.
